The challenge
Most salons in India run on a paper register, a calculator and a WhatsApp group. Owners reconstruct each stylist's commission at month end, by hand, from services that each carry their own rules.
Attendance is disputed, receipts are lost, and owners of more than one location have no single view of their business. Existing software was either built for Western spas or too complicated for a busy front desk.
How we wove it
- 01
Commissions as configuration
Payout rules differ by stylist, by service and by salon. We treated them as configurable rules that owners set once, so every bill calculates commission the moment it is created.
- 02
Receipts where customers already are
Digital receipts are delivered on WhatsApp (the channel salon customers actually use) instead of paper or email.
- 03
Attendance without hardware
Staff check in by scanning a QR code at the salon, verified by geofencing. No biometric devices to buy, no disputes to settle.
- 04
One business, many locations
Multi-salon owners get a single dashboard with shared client history, while each location keeps its own team and settings.
- 05
Built for the front desk
Mobile-first screens and short flows, because the person billing is usually also greeting the next customer.
